How to upgrade a Laptop to USB 2.0?
29 May 2007

Some of you might still be using an old laptop which has supports only USB 1.1. And nowadays most of the USB coming out are USB 2.0. And in this case you don’t have to throw the laptop just for the USB support, but this is the solution to it.
Since the USB support is based on the motherboard chipset in most laptops, and there’s no easy way to change or upgrade your motherboard in most cases. But if your laptop has a PC Card(which is known as PCMIA before), you can deal with the problem easily. All you have to do is get one of these USB 2.0 card and plug it into your laptop card slot. These cards would often cost around $40 in most computer stores. While using this card you also get a bonus of two or up to four extra slots depend of which card you got.
