iPhone to be open for 3rd Party Apps?
31 May 2007

Earlier today, in the Walt Mossberg sit down with Steve Job’s, Steve Job was asked quite a few questions about the massive iPhone topic. And one of the questions that interested everyone was about ‘whether users can expect iPhone to be able to add third Party Applications? And his Reply is as follow:
“This is an important tradeoff between security and openness. We want both. We’re working through a way… we’ll find a way to let 3rd parties write apps and still preserve security on the iPhone. But until we find that way we can’t compromise the security of the phone. I’ve used 3rd party apps… the more you add, the more your phone crashes. No one’s perfect, and we’d sure like our phone not to crash once a day. If you can just be a little more patient with us I think everyone can get what they want.”
So he’s absolutely right, he’s trying to keep you from swearing the iPhone whole day long about it getting crash. So be patients and you will get what you want. And by the way if you are still wondering on the iPhone on MAC OSX, iPhone uses the REAL OSX and also the REAL Safari,,, no difference.
