YouTube on Mobile Phones
18 June 2007

YouTube has extended their video sharing website into mobile mode. It’s still in the first edition so you can’t expect much from this YouTube. To access YouTube from your mobile you’ll have to enter http://m.youtube.com into your URL panel. And straight away it will show like any other WAP page.
When you Launch YouTube from your mobile their will be a warning in your first visit telling you that YouTube is a data intensive application. The pop-up will also say that they recommend unlimited plan. But it is a bit disappointing that not all videos are there. If you try to watch it through you computer you’ll figure out that the videos are in 3GP format.
Don’t expect the real YouTube experience, because it is yet to be improved. This might be one of the reason to protect people from downloading video and converting them in their mobile.
