Fujitsu 1.2TB Notebook Hard Drive by 2010

Fujitsu, as you know, is a hard disk pumper. They are also known for producing the latest technology hard drives. This time they are giving us a 2 year forecast of their plans on shipping the 1.2TB (terabytes) 2.5″ Hard disk. The company is planning on leveraging a new perpendicular recording method that will allow researchers to create “ideally ‘ordered’ alumina nanohole patterns for isolated bit-by-bit recording on a large disk area” by 2010.

But by 2010, we might already be rocking 10TB or 100TB on our desktop. But it’s still looks interesting on that small 2.5″ harddisk to have this much storage. The whole company’s IT system can be placed in this small harddisk (WOW).
