iPhoneSimFree Retails iPhone Unlock Service
11 September 2007

iPhoneSimFree have finally started retailing their iPhone unlocking service. They might be unlocking more iPhones than those AT&T which was reported to activate over 700,000 iPhones. iPhoneSimFree have provided four online retailers the rights to sell the iPhone unlocking services. The four online companies include Wireless Imports in US, iPhoneWorldwideUnlock in Australia, 1digitalphone in Germany, and iPhone4arab in Saudi Arabia. The price which was stated in the US retailer was at $99. Interestingly, the Australians retailer (iPhoneWorldwideUnlock) was selling their service at just AUD$60 which is around US$50.

We don’t have an idea why the Ausi’s one is half-price cheaper although they are from the same wholesaler. While the Arabic and European market gives no clue on their pricing. If anyone had a go with the buying the iPhone Unlock service please give us some feedbacks.
Is this why Steve Jobs reduced the iPhone price?
