After rumors and rumors about iPhone hitting UK, here comes the truth as O2 has been chosen as iPhone’s Service Provider. O2 has got the authority to launch the hot iPhone in UK starting on November 9th with the price tag of £269 incl. VAT. O2 has made its offers on the plans which comes with unlimited data for £35, £45 and £55 voice plans which includes 200, 600 and 1200 minutes respectively. Apple wasn’t able to make the Europeans Dream come True as the 3G function has been delayed to next year. O2 will also be offering cheap rates for 200 SMS and 500 SMS (not while driving :)). O2 will be covering the torn European Dreams by offering free WiFi for O2 iPhone users in 7,500 hotspots in around UK which estimates to around 30% of the country by the time it’s released. O2 currently has 1300 retail locations around UK.

The O2 Online Shop site is down at the moment (maybe because of too much people are visiting the iPhone page).

[…] Are you wondering how Apple is going to cope with their software to protect from Non-French users? Apple has been tackling the problem of hacking in US by releasing the new firmware and still that got hacked. But now Apple is going to tackle with another problem of selling unlocked iPhone in France due to its law. The November 29 is not a long time from today so we are going to be getting lots of updates about Apple officially launching an unlocked iPhone. It will be launched alongside the other Europeans country such as the O2 in UK. […]
