[PIC] Beware of Hacked ATMs

Can you see the difference between the two photos? The top photo is the fixed(hacked) ATM Machine and the bottom photo is a normal ATM machine. Now we’ll show you how they did it. First of all these are Thai ATM Machine and the photo was taken from Aromdee.com. The difference between the two photos are that the top one has a card reader popping out and the keypad is slightly higher. These are the two things that was fixed. I’ll show you several photos below (after the break) of how it was fixed and what tools they used.

These are the simple 7 steps of how these ATMs are hacked. The keypad that was placed there had some key storage of when the key was pressed and the card reader takes the card’s coding. This guy must be rich by now if he hasn’t got caught. So be careful next time you use an ATM (in Thailand or Anywhere else).
