Sony releases Ultraportable VAIO G2 in Europe

Sony today has made the VAIO G2 notebook available to the Europeans. The 12-inch, 2.2 pounds laptop runs on an ultra-low voltage Core 2 Duo 1.06GHz against the 1.2GHz one in Japan. The battery even stays longer on this laptop as it uses the 64GB Solid State Disk which also speeds up the load time. Sony has revised the G2 and claims that it will be having 11.5 hours runtime which is better compared to other lightweight laptops that gives you 7 hours.
Price and specs ranges with different countries. According to the Italian market it is priced at 2,100 Euros ($2,977) which comes with 64GB SSD, 2GB RAM and fingerprint reader while the lower cost one would come with a normal 100GB HDD, 1GB RAM at an unkown price.
